| Description | • Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture products to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. • Assisting with the assembly of hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical components. • Assisting with other projects including the manufacture of passageway systems, testing equipment, small parts, jigs and dies. • Troubleshooting, repairing and servicing hand tools, power tools, and other machining equipment. • Proficient in assigned welding techniques(MIG,TIG – carbon and stainless steel / aluminum) • Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology. • Fulfilling company standard times and individual productivity goals. • Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc. • Process inspection, certification, and documentation. • Welding equipment maintenance • Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools. • Fulfilling output requirements while reducing scrap levels. • Lifting/moving 75 pounds. Educational/Experience Level for Position: • High School Diploma. • Successful completion of an internal welding test. • Minimum 3 years of previous welding experience. . Special Skills/Qualifications Needed: • Proficiency with hand and power tools including but not limited to hammers, crimpers, jigs, grinders, saws, torches, drill presses, and other pneumatic systems. • Willingness to learn and work in other areas. • Ability to handle tasks requiring detailed (or precise) actions and manipulations. • Ability to perform tasks efficiently while maintaining quality. • Ability to multi-tasks while maintaining productivity. • Proficiency with metric and standard unit measurement systems. • Reliable transportation. • Familiarity with company policies, procedures and instructions. |
